As a junior, Michelle hit for a .276 average, with 2 homers and 2 triples. She started all 51 games, either as catcher, or designated player. Michelle had a .987 fielding percentage, with only 2 errors. She will be the only Senior on the 2010 team.
As a sophomore, Michelle hit for a .329 average with 3 homers and 46 RBIs (1st in the MAAC). She started all 53 games and had 15 multi hit games and 11 multi RBI games. She hit .400 in the MAAC Tournament with 8 RBIs. She was named to the All MAAC second team and the All MAAC Tournament team. I saw her hit for 7 RBIs in a fall game, including a homer that I think is still flying!
Michelle joined Canisius for her sophomore season after transferring from Liberty University. Before that she won 5 letters at Williamsville South where she set a New York State record for hits in a season with 64. She was only the second player in State history to have over 200 hits for a career. She broke 10 school records and won 2 State Championships at South. She was named to the All State Team her Senior year, and was a first team All League player 5 times in multiple sports.
